DONATIONS |
In addition to volunteering your time, there are many creative ways that you can share your financial gifts or other resources to support kids in crisis:

|
Vehicles
We welcome donations of vehicles or boats to expand the ministry of 4KIDS. You may choose to sell your vehicle or boat privately (your charitable contribution will reflect the amount of your gift), or have 4KIDS handle the details of the transfer (the amount of your charitable income tax deduction will be based on the amount 4KIDS receives for the sale of your vehicle or boat). In either case, 4KIDS will be blessed by your generosity. |

|
Real Estate
4KIDS is designated as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization; therefore, your gift of real estate to 4KIDS qualifies as a charitable contribution. One of the benefits of transferring the title of your property from your name to 4KIDS of South Florida, Inc., is a net savings related to applicable federal tax income.

Appreciated Securities
Transferring ownership of appreciated stocks or mutual funds can be a great benefit to 4KIDS as well as to the donor. If you have held the securities for at least twelve months at the time of the sale, neither you nor 4KIDS pays capital gains tax. Your gift would be valued at fair market value when determining the amount of your charitable deduction. |
| Please contact Bruce Thompson at 954-315-4353 for more information on vehicle, real estate, or appreciated securities donations. |

FISCAL ACCOUNTABILITY
4KIDS of South Florida’s staff and board of directors take the fiscal responsibility they have been entrusted with seriously. Every 4KIDS staff and board member either volunteers or provides financial support, believing it is important to “lead by example.” Approximately 29 percent of our current working budget comes from state support, while 71 percent is a result of combined donations from individuals, corporations, foundations, and the faith community.

4KIDS submits to the highest ethical and accounting standards. In addition to annual audits by ChildNet and the Florida Department of Children & Families, 4KIDS is also a member of the Evangelical Counsel for Financial Accountability (ECFA). ECFA is a nationally accredited agency dedicated to helping Christian ministries earn the public’s trust through adherence to seven Standards of Responsible Stewardship. Founded in 1979, it is comprised of over 1,100 charitable, religious, missionary, social, and educational tax-exempt, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations. ECFA’s Standards of Responsible Stewardship focus on board governance, financial transparency, integrity in fundraising, and proper use of charity resources. Additionally, we have an independent audit preformed annually by Capin & Crouse, LLP. Capin & Crouse serves over 400 nonprofit organizations with a wide range of programs and unique services.
